Mustang Sally

Mustang

The word mustang came originally from Spanish to refer to wild horses in The United States. Today, mustang has become a popular brand name for everything from cars to miniature motorcycles to yachts. In fact, if you were to ask the average American, ‘what is a mustang?’ they would likely refer to the ford mustang car or the mustang miniature motorcycle before a wild horse. It’s amazing when brands replace real words for things like Kleenexes replacing tissues. What’s more amazing is when Microsoft word corrects the spelling of words like Kleenex. The ford mustang car has become a great status symbol in North America. At the moment however, the ford company seems to be in jeopardy and the future of the ford mustang uncertain. After a hundred or so years in the business, Ford’s had its moment in the spotlight.

Ford Mustang

The ford mustang was born in the mid sixties and has been in production since, with more mustang models still to come. Since the first ford mustang, the mustang has been altered and refined with each new model but is still based on the same basic principles of design that the original ford mustang was built on. Today, a ford mustang is a high performance car. The ford mustang has won numerous awards for car of the year and such. If you were to buy a new ford mustang today it would be quite expensive, as would a Classic Mustang.

Classic Mustang

The good news about the Classic Mustang is that if you’re trying to fix up an old Classic Mustang, it’s easier to find some mustang parts than it is to find parts for other classic cars. This is because mustangs are still being manufactured today and some of the mustang parts are still quite similar to what they were many years ago. However, a lot of things have changed with the modern mustang since the Classic mustangs were made. A well-maintained Classic Mustang is a very cool car to have these days. As is a new ford mustang. New ford mustangs would be even better if they looked a little more like the classic ford mustangs. Unfortunately the ford mustang has lost a little of its distinctive style over the years that originally made it so successful. I even joined a Classic Mustang club exclusively for Classic Mustang owners because if you don’t own a Classic Mustang, you’re not a true Classic Mustang enthusiast.
